A field and a barn, just for us. £10 an hour for the field and £8 for the barn. I'll take the barn when it rains.

A whole field with a copse in the middle, and nobody else in it. I'll run to the copse, then back, then to the copse.

Southdowns Unleashed at Balmer Farm on the Brighton Road is a secure dog field: £10 an hour for the field or £8 for the indoor barn, booked online. Keep dogs in the car until your slot and wait for the previous slot to leave. There's a porta loo at the entrance.

A secure field: fenced all round and booked by the slot. For a dog that chases, is nervous of other dogs, or is still learning to come back.
